Service Description

­A firearms Possession and Acquisition Licence (PAL) is required by individuals 18 years of age or older who wish to acquire or possess non-restricted firearms: (e.g., common rifles, shotguns or muzzle rifles & shotguns) and ammunition. Individuals must complete the CFSC to become eligible to apply for a PAL. ­A Minors Firearms Licence is required by individuals ages 12-17 years to possess a non-restricted firearm and ammunition for specified purposes e.g. hunting or target practice. Minors must complete the CFSC to become eligible to apply. Note: that a PAL or Minors Firearms Licence is also required to possess a rifle, shotgun or muzzleloading rifle or shotgun while hunting in Ontario.
